"Equity monitor will not be provided, producer will run all aspects"

Anyone have any experience/vibes about producer monitor's knowing how to get EMC seen when time permits? Honestly just worrying they won't try to get non members in, so let me know if any of you have had any trouble with this ever or if it's legit not a thing.

I'm assuming this is a call outside of NYC?

This just my pure speculation, so take this with a grain of salt. NYC is the ONLY city in this nation that needs a monitor at every call, Union or not. Many in Chicago and L.A. also have monitors but not all.

If this is a call outside of NYC, I wouldn't worry about getting seen too much, as NYC is also the only city that non-union always sits on pins and needles wondering if they'll be seen. They can get seen pretty damn easily at a Union call anywhere else because they're no where near as busy in other cities, so a producer should, in theory, be able to run those calls easily.
I wouldn't trust that same producer to run a Union call here in NYC, not at all, because they, heck even the CD's behind the table much of the time, don't know Union audition protocol. No joke...

Oh nope, tis for Penn shakes call tmrw that says no equity monitor will be provided.

TBH they have no obligation to try and see nonunion...and this is coming from a nonunion performer. The union only has to look out for it's due paying members -just because we as non union show up doesn't mean we have a right to be seen...

^^^^no certainly not, I'm just saying when I see that a monitor won't be provided but it'll be run by the producer, I just wonder about the efficiency of the call. They don't tend to know Union audition procedures, so even without seeing non eq there could be problems. No joke, one call a friend of mine ran, the CD did a couple no-no's that day.
    1. Asked to use the bathroom when the call was running behind (there's multiple reason for falling behind, but is still not allowed)
    2. Wanted to end the call early. NNOOOPPPEEEE.
It's not about seeing non-eq, it's about them knowing audition procedure. And if they don't procedure, that can translate into not seeing non eq merely because they can possibyl now know what they're doing.
Dan himself has had to remind certain CD's to pick up the pace and get the audition back on track.
