Audition Update is moving. Click here to learn more.

Hello Everyone,

You’ve heard us talking about it all summer, and we’re finally ready to show you what we’ve been working on. I’m proud to announce that is moving to its new home on the Backstage Community.

What are the benefits of this new location? It’s anonymous, it's mobile-friendly, it’s easier to police spam content and fake accounts, and best of all, it has collapsed threads! In addition, our developer team will be able to make changes, fix bugs, and implement new features much faster and easier on this new platform.

You’ll notice there’s a banner across the top of the screen here advertising the new location. If you click through that link, it will bring you to the registration screen where you can create your account and automatically receive the “Veteran” flair for being an Audition Update user. Even if you already have a Backstage account, clicking through the link will grant you the flair automatically so everyone will know you’ve been here a while and know what you’re talking about.

We’ll be decommissioning this forum slowly over the coming weeks, so you should save any threads or details that you want to reference later at your earliest convenience.

We know this will really help to improve things here at Audition Update, and we want to thank you - the community - for being here with us through the whole process.

– The Backstage Community Team

Is it just me or is everyone in the AGR cult group represented by him or freelances with him?

It's true. Jen befriended him before he even stepped foot at AGR. He attended their events. Signed a huge majority of the AGR people who reached out to him. Operates more as an agent than a manager. Has too many clients. I know people with him who say they get auditions but feel a diconnect. Bad people skills. I also knownpeople who said they barely get anything through him bc he keeps taking on new clients. An actor IK booked out because he was getting married. Brandon responded with "ok" and no congratulations. Often doesn't respond to emails. But many of the actors at AGR are new tothe infustry and/or the rep search so they fling themselves at him. I met Brandon once. Weird dude. It makes AGR look good and brings in $ for Jen bc she can use him to push more success stories (signing with a manager and new bookings) which brings in new AGR clients hoping to sign with BAC which in turn makes Jen more $.

BAC and AGR are both gross, but they serve their purpose as to attract desperate wannabes and keep them off actual reputable rosters and actors need to experience these things for themselves to understand how things work.

And it seems like anyone that actually books anything or she recommends for roles - it's all co stars. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's what it seems like anyway.

They book though!! That's important!! But the fact is EVERYONE it seems in AGR freelances or is signed with him. I'm not jealous because I have my own path but it's just odd to me. I submitted to him once and he told me I need more training yet my resume shows that I am marketable and I am always working. I even graduated from a fantastic BFA program. I am not being salty but some of his clients come off so damn thirsty on facebook.

I poke into the AGR Facebook group from time to time, and am not repped by BAC. I have several friends there who aren't either.

That being said, he's aggressive. He may have too many clients and so on, but he's a pusher when not everyone is.

    He's just not for me.

This is a tough one. I know of a client of his who has booked at least one network co-star in the past year- shot 2 days. This client has NEVER MET BRANDON in person!
