• NAB: Anyone hear of H2A Management? 12/07/2017  4:46pm

    Hi all!
So I submitted my resume for commercial print shoots on Backstage and I received a message back from the listing to come in for a open call for a company called H2A Management. I looked at their website and it *seems* legit , but in their message they mentioned " that if you are selected for representation in this division, you may be required to invest in commercial presentation materials;" which always throws up a red flag.
Anyone work with them or have a warning for me?

Did you learn anything more about H2A? I got the same email from them.

Sounds like a scam. Anytime representation reaches out to you and then mentions you paying for something, it's not good

    Hello everyone,

Just wanted to take a moment to talk about what we found with this casting call. After some investigation, our casting team decided to take it down and discontinue working with the company who posted this notice. It sounds like, based on what they’re sending to our users, that they’re some kind of bait & switch operation, which is totally against our terms of use.

As always, if you ever have questions or want us to investigate a casting call for you, feel free to reach out to customers@backstage.com and we’ll be happy to assist.

    Thanks everyone.

Hi, I went in to H2A. Was told, before they'd even seen my full portfolio, that I'd have to shoot with their own photographer for $600. Personally I thought his pix were awful. The contract I was sent also appears to double dip. When I asked about it they went radio silent on me.
