• NAB: am i in over my head? 05/20/2018  11:06pm

i went in for a small role this past week on a tv series. it went fine, was actually super enjoyable. casting then called me in for a feature.

it's a big part and it just seems kinda out of my league. i really dont have much experience with film and tv.

is this a situation where i should probably cough up some serious coin and coach with one of bob krakower's underlings?

    You are worthy!!!!!

If you think you have a good grasp
on it then go for it, if not then coach it. I’ve worked with three celebrities and all three had coaches.

Thanks! I’m gonna try to just have fun with it... but always good to remember that a lot of people at different levels use coaches. Might be good to use someone just to make sure I’m confident w it.

Honey, you being cast in a feauture means the casting team believes in your abilities and so should you. “You are enough, you are so enough, it’s unbelievable how enough you are.”

Many of us have had that moment, after being offered what we have yearned for and dream about, standing in front a mirror and worrying that we don't belong here.

And most of us quickly get over that and do whatever is needed to fulfill that opportunity.

    Go do it.

Maybe you’re better than you think you are and Casting sees it. Maybe you got lucky. We’ve all seen untalented people in enviable contracts.
But that’s not for you to decide. Stop judging! Control what you can. Coach the hell out of that side. Be the best you you’re capable of. Worst case you learn something but best case, you’ll get more confidence.
Jump. Maybe you’ll fall. But it’s the only way you will fly.
