  • NYC Apartment hunting as an actor? 08/15/2018  6:55pm

    Hey guys,

I work for a few different catering companies and a temp agency in the city...how detailed is the 40x income proof needed from part time jobs like this in order to get an apartment? All my incomes vary. I make an average of $20 an hour catering between the companies and $15 temping. Thanks guys!

Usually you save the pay stubs. I’m assuming they’ll want maybe 4 weeks worth.

Bank statements showing income also might work.

understood...but what if you just got those jobs? No luck?

What about a letter from (one of) the companies providing ‘proof of employment’? Or sometimes they’ll ask for a bank statement and you can show it crossing out your account # etc.?

Yeah, I would ask the companies for an employment verification letter. Often they'll put either your YTD earnings, or your projected earnings for the year.
