  • AWESOME THEATER

The team is the sweetest. Nothing but super kind and they really truly CARE about the actor and making a connection with them.

Travis, the artistic director is nothing but sweet and kind. Cheryl, is the kindest producer you will ever meet. The guild are equally sweet. They also, for our cast created an amazing set of food and it was a great way to greet and meet and the cast, the team, and everyone behind the scenes of the theater.

They offer cars for the actors and you are put up in a great apartment. Didn't have to share a room, I had my own "apartment". The cars are shared amongst the cast and in a great location. About an hour from Detroit.

Pay is standard and they offered EMC points. I know someone who recently got their card from there as well. (Nice to hear regional theater's still do that!)

Overall a great experience and would love to go back and work there again. If you get an offer or are thinking about going into audition...they are most definitely worth accepting or attending!!!!

  • LOVE!

I loved working at Meadow Brook! They are super super nice! Artistic Director Travis and Producer Cheryl are the sweetest people. They put you up in your own suite at a hotel in walking distance to the theatre. Free gym membership with pool at the YMCA which is practically in your back yard. Tons of restaurants around and three huge supermarkets. They give you a few cars to share within the cast. A huge mall about 15 minutes drive. I cannot stress how nice these people are. On our first day of rehearsal, the theatre guild had a huge prepared buffet lunch for us, and lovely gift baskets, and Producer Cheryl came up with several nice perks for us throughout the run, like free tickets to events. Close enough to downtown Detroit to experience that area on your days off. Monday and Tuesday are both off, two shows Saturday and Sunday and/or Wednesday. Pay is pretty standard, not amazing, but not bad. Offers EMC points. I would absolutely go back. If you get a contract here, jump at it! :)
